Kalamba gains ISO 27001 certification to ‘illustrate’ quality commitment

Kalamba Games has been awarded an ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its information security management system.

Said to be pivotal in going live in many regulated jurisdictions, the studio’s internal processes were “rigorously tested” against the standard’s strict assessment criteria to receive its accreditation over a nine-month period.

“Earning the ISO/IEC 27001 award is a milestone for us as a company. It illustrates our commitment to quality and integrity and is essential as we continue to expand globally,” explained Andrew Crosby, Chief Commercial Officer at Kalamba Games.

“We can now look forward to planning new market entries secure in the knowledge that our compliance credentials continue to be exemplary.”

Senior management as well as all Kalamba’s operations and controls are now fully compliant with the data protection practices and procedures set by the International Organisation for Standardisation and the International Electrotechnical Commission.

As part of the compliance, Kalamba can now demonstrate that its operator partner’s sensitive data is stringently safeguarded to the “same high standards” as the products it provides.

Furthermore, the standard received is a prerequisite to holding licences and conducting business across the world and opens up further new territories.
