Amusnet Interactive has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility with the launch of a new slot, Drops of Water, which will raise funds for charity: water

Ahead of the game’s release on 8 September, the developer’s Senior Product Manager Yordan Georgiev sat down with CasinoBeats to share the thinking behind the slot and why the company believes that business is about more than just profit.

CasinoBeats: The new Drops of Water slot will see Amusnet donate 3 per cent of the game’s revenues to charity: water. Why did you select this particular charity for the initiative?

Yordan Georgiev: The water crisis is a significant issue that is often neglected, so we decided to look for an organisation that focuses specifically on water issues.

We chose to partner with charity: water because of its transparent process and significant experience. In the 16 years since its establishment, it has already helped over 15 million people in more than 29 countries. The organisation works with partners to build water systems in isolated rural areas where the majority spend hours every day walking to collect water for their families.

CasinoBeats: Committing to raising funds for a charity in this way is the embodiment of the idea of a company giving something back to society. Why do you consider it so important for companies to take their responsibilities to the wider community seriously?

YG: The days of operating solely for profit are gone. Whilst this is obviously still important, the business society now focuses largely on corporate social responsibility. We believe that every business must add value to the community and generate a positive impact.

So, starting with Drops of Water, we have planned more activities, which reflect our culture and values and bring lots of excitement and satisfaction to our daily work too.

CasinoBeats: As ESG becomes an increasingly important issue for companies, what role do you think games that raise funds for good causes can play in the industry? Do you foresee charity games being popular with players and operators?

YG: As our industry is fast-changing, we believe that we have the power to outline new ways to help gaming lead on responsibility.

Drops of Water is a pilot project for Amusnet Interactive in that direction. It is unique, because for the first time we have created a completely new game dedicated to support a cause. The game itself stands out in the igaming content because of its theme and charity element.

It will be really interesting to see if the industry will get inspired by such initiatives.

CasinoBeats: Could you tell us a little about the game itself and the technology behind it?

YG: Yes, of course! Drops of Water is in support of charity: water and it is developed with dedication and engagement by all teams involved in the process. As you can see, the theme is inspired by the organisation’s initiatives in Africa and India.

It is a 5-reel, 20 fixed paylines slot that offers exciting features, outstanding graphics and wild sound effects. It includes many of Amusnet’s most popular features like re-spins, scatter symbols, themed special symbols, and our famous jackpot cards bonus game.

One of the interesting special features is called water drop respins. It is triggered when five or more scatter symbols land on the reels. Then all scatter symbols turn into water drops and the respin feature is triggered for more rewards!

CasinoBeats: Drops of Water is the latest in a busy schedule of new releases for Amusnet; what else do you have planned in the next coming months?

YG: We are releasing new titles every month in different verticals, including online slots and live casino. Our famous Bulky Fruits series will be expanded with one more title – 100 Bulky Fruits. By adding more paylines, we are giving more chances of juicy wins to the players.

We are diversifying the slot themes in our portfolio. At the end of the year, we are planning to release a game inspired by the Aztec Empire. You will come across magnificent temples and forests, supernatural gods – all in vivid and bold colours.

Stay tuned because a lot of projects are on the way!

CasinoBeats: What can people expect to see when they visit Amusnet’s booth at SBC Summit Barcelona later this month?

We are excited to join SBC Summit Barcelona for the second time this year. Our business team will welcome everyone to Stand F8 and demonstrate our latest entertaining slots, advanced keno games and new titles from our live casino platform.

Some of the titles you can try on our stand are 20 Golden Coins, Fruits & Gold, Cocktail Rush, Hot Deco and of course the newest release Drops of Water.

As you know, we changed our name to Amusnet Interactive earlier this year, and such events are a great way to catch up with our partners on company news and discuss business development potential.
