Gambling.com Group signs UK media deal with The Independent

Gambling.com Group has signed its first UK media deal after reaching an agreement with Independent Digital News and Media Limited, the publisher of The Independent.

Through the partnership, Gambling.com will provide in-depth and expert online casino and sports betting content to The Independent and its over 20.8m monthly unique users on a dedicated section of the newspaper’s website.

The Independent’s marketing and commercial teams will also gain access to Gambling.com’s proprietary data science platform, content team and expertise in monetising online gambling traffic.

Commenting on the deal, Charles Gillespie, CEO of Gambling.com Group, said: “Gambling.com Group’s sophisticated publishing and monetisation systems combined with leading media brands like The Independent is a proven recipe for success, as evidenced by our existing media partnerships.

Gambling.com’s deal with The Independent is the company’s third major media partnership, following agreements with US publishers The McClatchy Company and Gannett. It is also the group’s first media deal outside the US.
