Station Casinos has announced the beginning of a property-wide upgrade for its Sunset Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The property refresh will see several sections of the venue changed in one way or another, including its casino floor, sportsbook and high-limit slots room.

Sunset Station’s casino floor will be refreshed in stages, featuring fresh carpet, improved lighting, updated façades and modernised restrooms, bringing “modern touches” to the location’s existing Spanish-style theme.

As of 9 October, Sunset Station’s Race and Sportsbook will be temporarily closed to create space for a new STN Sportsbook.

The upgraded sportsbook will host a 150-foot video wall, lounge-style seating, race and sports betting kiosks and an expansive bar with drinks and bartop gaming offerings as the operator strives to provide guests with “an MVP experience”.

While the renovations are taking place, a temporary sportsbook will be located next to the Rewards Center in the casino. Club Madrid will also be transformed into an American Football viewing destination for guests to watch both professional and college games.

The existing high-limit slot room will also become part of the new sportsbook, so high-stakes machines will be relocated to the former keno area.

Commenting on the revamp, Jordan Seager, Vice President and General Manager of Sunset Station, stated: “We are thrilled to bring our guests an all-new gaming and sports betting offering in the coming months at Sunset Station.

“For more than 25 years, Sunset Station continues to raise the bar for our Henderson neighbours – this remodel will no doubt offer a best-in-class experience for our guests.”
