Betsson Group has expanded its offering reach in Europe, going live with its flagship Betsson brand in the Italian market.

In Italy, Betsson will provide players with its portfolio of sports betting, slots, table games and live casino products, building on the existing StarCasinò brand in the country.

StarCasinò will continue to operate alongside the Betsson brand in Italy.

“Italy has grown significantly in importance for Betsson, and we believe this is an opportune moment to introduce our flagship brand, Betsson, to the market,” commented Ronni Hartvig, Chief Commercial Officer of Betsson Group.

“By consolidating our operations under the unified Betsson brand, we aim to harness the power of scalability. Together with our extensive experience in the region, we aim to position the brand as a leading sports betting operator in the market.”

Betsson’s flagship brand launch in Italy is a continuation of the operator expanding its presence across Europe.

Last month, the operator enhanced its European presence after acquiring Holland Gaming Technology, a gaming operator with a licence in the Netherlands, as well as Holland Power Gaming, a Dutch game studio that develops casino games.

Also in February, President and CEO Pontus Lindwall stated within Betsson’s 2023 results that he is looking forward to 2024 “with confidence” and that the operator is “well positioned for continued value creation” thanks to its strong financial position.

It has also been reported recently that Betsson is set to secure a partnership with Inter Milan to become the club’s main shirt sponsor for the 2024/25 season.
