Flutter Entertainment has expanded its global footprint with the opening of a new Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad, India, following a $3.5m investment.
Located at RMZ Spire in Knowledge City, the centre spans over 80,000 square feet across three floors and will host more than 700 employees across data engineering, game integrity services, HR operations, procurement, safety and security and customer operations.
Flutter is also hiring positions in data analytics and engineering roles to increase its headcount to 900 by 2024 and targets 40% women in leadership positions in this office by 2026.
Teams at the Global Capability Centre will utilise Flutter Edge to support the company’s global operations across brands such as Paddy Power, Sisal, Sky Betting & Gaming, PokerStars, Sportsbet and Betfair, among others.
Ashish Sinha, Managing Director of Flutter Entertainment India, commented: “We are excited to expand our facility in Hyderabad as we continue to strengthen our presence in India. We aim to grow while maintaining a challenger mindset and leading the sector globally and India presents a significant opportunity for our business.
“This expansion aligns with our global vision of Changing the Game by enabling continuous improvement in product and technology across iGaming and sports betting across our portfolio of brands.”
The Global Capability Centre contributes towards Flutter’s global sustainability agenda – the Positive Impact Plan – as it is gold-certified by the US Green Building Council and recognised for its energy and environmental design.
To help communities around Hyderabad, Flutter is also making a £30,000 contribution for 2024 to support local initiatives.
“Our expansion in India marks a huge milestone in Flutter’s growth and shows our continued commitment to investing in top talent to drive business growth globally,” added Phil Bishop, Chief Operating Officer at Flutter Entertainment.
“With centres of excellence for Data Engineering, Game Integrity Services, Customer and HR Operations, Procurement and Finance, and through the power of the Flutter Edge, the Hyderabad Global Capability Centre is designed to foster creativity and growth and strengthens our presence in the Indian employment and skills market.”
Last week, Flutter CEO Peter Jackson called Q2 2024 “another strong quarter” for the operator, as total group revenue during the period rose by 20% year-over-year.
As a result, the company has raised its full-year guidance, as it now expects revenue to be 20% higher YoY and adjusted EBITDA to improve by 34% YoY at their respective midpoints.
