Former co-founders of FanDuel DFS, Nigel Eccles and Rob Jones have come back together to launch the crypto sportsbook and casino, BetHog.

The Crypto-backed BetHog venture is seeking to develop and engage players with new casino game formats, built for fair play on the Solana (SOL) blockchain.

BetHog marks the second crypto-gaming venture of Nigel Eccles, having previously launched the Web3 betting exchange BetDEX, as he continues in his ambitions to disrupt iGaming experiences with new skill-based games, built and secured by blockchain protocols.

Nigel Eccles, Co-founder & CEO of BetHog, commented: “The crypto casino market has seen dramatic growth over the past few years, driven by innovations like provably fair games, robust VIP programmes, and streaming.

“With BetHog, my goal is to innovate even further by bringing unique and highly visual games to market. I want to offer users unique play-along and skill-based titles, combined with a robust VIP offering. But most of all, this is about maximising fun for our users.”

BetHog supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT as accepted currencies across its range of titles. The platform is now accessible worldwide, subject to certain jurisdictional restrictions, including in the USA and UK.

BetHog also detailed that is looking to focus on product development and expand its reach by establishing strategic partnerships

“We are thrilled to be backing Nigel and the entire team at BetHog in this investment,” added Serge Kassardjian, General Partner at 6MV.

“We believe they are perfectly positioned to unlock this massive opportunity to build the most innovative online casino and betting platform of the crypto era. We believe this will bring in a diverse audience of crypto and non-crypto gamers to enjoy this differentiated and fun gambling experience.”
