Online gaming operator Kindred Group has made its first commercial presence in the United States, as the firm unleashes its flagship Unibet brand in New Jersey.

Customers in the Garden State can now access a full range of first-class casino products “in a safe and secure environment,” with Kindred stressing that in the near future it also “looks forward” to offering “exceptional sports betting products” through its previously announced partnership via Kambi.

Kindred secured a Casino Service Industry Enterprise License in New Jersey together with Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City last year, enabling the firm to provide a “first-class casino experience”.

This was added to with an agreement alongside Scientific Games’ SG Digital relating to its player account management platform, with the Kambi alignment giving access to its sport betting platform in New Jersey.

Manuel Stan, senior vice president of Kindred US, explained: “We are thrilled to announce that Kindred can now offer New Jersey customers a truly great gambling experience on a top technology platform in a sustainable, safe and secure environment.

“We have been preparing for this first and important step very thoroughly for a long time, and we are excited to take another step into what will most likely become the largest betting market in the world.

“This announcement is the first one in a line of hopefully many more, since we believe in the importance of the US market. Next in line will most likely be Pennsylvania and Kindred’s strategic partnership with Mohegan Sun Pocono.

“Kindred has always put the customer at the heart of our operations and ensuring that they can enjoy gambling in is crucial for us.”

At the end of last month Roar Digital, the MGM Resorts and GVC Holdings joint venture, gained approvals within New Jersey and Nevada, as it strives to extend its footprint across the US.
