National Hockey League franchise the Las Vegas Golden Knights has added to its roster of corporate partners, after International Game Technology became the latest firm to align with the outfit.

Coming into existence following an owners vote of expansion, the Knights began their inaugural season in 2017/18 when the outside shots made the Stanley Cup finals, only to fall at the final hurdle as the Washington Capitals secured victory.

The new agreement with the gaming organisation, headquartered in London with one of its operational headquarters located in Las Vegas, sees IGT be named as an official partner of the Las Vegas Golden Knights, as announced by its president Kerry Bubolz.

Under the moniker of official partner, IGT will be featured on Vegas Golden Knights’ web and social media platforms, with the firm to also be promoted outside of the T-Mobile Arena within Toshiba Plaza before home games.

Furthermore, the firm will also be incorporated into various in-game elements, including the ‘make noise’ prompt and ‘jackpot bonanza’ game during intermissions.

The Vegas Golden Knights enjoy a close bond with the industry as evidenced by a number of previous marketing partnerships secured, including Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Golden Entertainment, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, MGM Resorts International, Resorts World Las Vegas, San Manuel Casino, Station Casinos, the D Las Vegas, William Hill and Wynn Resorts.

“We are thrilled to be official partners with IGT,” stated Bubolz. “IGT will bring a globally known presence to our digital network, as well as game days around T-Mobile Arena which will enhance our overall fan experience.”

After being confirmed as one of the first three winners of the CasinoBeats Pride of Gaming Awards last month, IGT revealed that it was ‘honoured’ to be recognised for its ongoing commitment to workplace diversity and inclusivity.

The awards, which took place at the Natural History Museum alongside SBC’s Hall of Fame ceremony, were launched to celebrate those individuals or organisations that have done the most to promote the good name and image of casino gaming.
