Online gaming platform provider and gaming group Finnplay has been awarded an Online Casino Licence in Denmark by Spillemyndigheden, the Danish Gambling Authority.

Martin Prantner (pictured), CEO of The Finnplay Group, said in a statement: “This new Danish licence presents a great opportunity for Finnplay and our operating partners.

“Our strong record of compliance in regulated markets and the Nordics will help ensure a smooth and successful entry to the Danish market.”

Founded in 2008 in Finland, the Finnplay gaming platform is compliant in the regulated gaming jurisdictions of Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Hungary, Malta, Mexico, Romania, Sweden and UK.

The Danish casino licence builds on recent licensing success for Finnplay, following November’s award of a Type 2 licence from the Malta Gaming Authority.

Prior to that, in October of this year, the Finnish provider also successful extended its Swedish casino licence. In May, Finnplay took Platinum Casino live in Romania.
