SBC Summit CIS agenda to shine spotlight on emerging opportunities

SBC Summit CIS

Next month’s SBC Summit CIS, presented by Parimatch, will feature an agenda that delivers valuable insights into the changing face of the betting and gaming industry in markets across the region, and how operators can prepare for the best emerging opportunities.

The conference and exhibition, organised by SBC in partnership with Sports Media Holding, takes place at Parkovy Kyiv International Convention Center in Ukraine on October 13-14, 2021. It will provide the perfect setting for executives from companies interested in opportunities in CIS markets to meet in person and do business.

The event also represents a unique opportunity to learn from senior executives with on-the-ground knowledge of the latest developments in the region, as the 80-strong conference speaker line-up includes representatives from Parimatch, Adjarabet, Betlive, PinUp, and IGT, along with regulators, marketing experts, and payments specialists.

The central theme of the opening day of the conference is the opportunities created by the evolving regulatory picture in the region.

There will be a particular focus on the situation in Ukraine following the government’s decision to legalise gambling. The Ukrainian Gambling Council has provided its market expertise in putting together the agenda, which includes sessions on what the country’s new regulatory structure means for betting and igaming operators, the need to reform gambling taxes, and how to develop an effective marketing strategy within the latest guidelines.

Looking outside the conference’s host nation, the day one schedule also has an SBC Leaders panel that will provide a c-level perspective on markets across the CIS and Eastern Europe, and a session about the latest developments in regulation in Georgia, the Baltics, and Uzbekistan. Further sessions will detail the latest safer gambling strategies and trends in payment technology.

On day two, attention will turn to some of the practical issues facing betting and gaming operators in the region, with panels examining the value of sports sponsorship deals, the opportunities created by the growing popularity of esports, the future of affiliate marketing, and how to enter the land-based casino market in Ukraine.

A key session on the second day is ‘The rise of the CIS as a global iGaming tech hub – what does the future hold?’ It will see an expert panel examine why the region has become a home to so many of the biggest names in the igaming tech sector and what the next steps are to build on that success.

Rasmus Sojmark, founder and CEO of SBC, said: “Delegates at our events know that they can expect high-level conference content, and we’ll certainly match that expectation at our first ever in-person event in Ukraine.

“With valuable input from our partners at Sports Media Holding and the Ukrainian Gambling Council, we have produced an agenda that will see some of the industry’s most influential executives sharing insights and ideas about the future of the industry in the CIS.”

Away from the conference rooms, delegates will have the chance to see the latest innovations from 20 suppliers in the exhibition and to enjoy a programme of evening networking events in stylish Kyiv venues.

Industry professionals unable to travel to Ukraine for the Summit can sign up for a digital edition of the event, which will give them online access to the conference content.

A limited number of Early Bird Passes for the in-person event are currently available for $199 – a saving of $200 on the full price – from the SBC Summit CIS website
