Relax Gaming has rolled out the first stage of an ambition to “expand significantly across multiple European markets throughout 2022,” after debuting in Italy alongside PokerStars.

The provider’s entry into the Italian market will see the igaming aggregator and supplier integrate its online casino suite with the Flutter Entertainment brand.

Nadiya Attard, Relax Gaming’s Chief Commercial Officer, stated: “It’s with great pride that we enter into operations within the Italian online gaming market with a B2C powerhouse like PokerStars.

“Their longstanding reputation and local demand will offer Relax Gaming an exceptional start in a leading market. We look forward to launching our proprietary content within Italy with leading titles, and the business growth to come.”

Relax, which lauds the alliance as a “significant milestone” in its roadmap, will take an array of titles live with PokerStars, such as Temple Tumble and Money Train 2.

In due course, PokerStars will also gain access to content from Relax’s 50-plus hand-picked studio partners, which is made possible via Powered By Relax and Silver Bullet partnership programmes.

Moreover, with what it calls “multiple operators” across the Relax network live in the country, the group anticipates the roll-out of additional “numerous” partnerships across the coming weeks and months.

“Entering the Italian market is another major milestone on Relax’s path to increase its footprint across regulated European jurisdictions,” commented Alexia Smilovic Rønde, Relax Gaming’s Chief Regulatory Officer.

“Italy holds the crown as one of the continent’s most established markets, and we’re ready to show what we can do when it comes to driving differentiation.

“With a competitive landscape that offers a wealth of opportunities for providers of premium gaming content such as us, I’m sure we’re going to see excellent results.”
