Playson has broadened its North American presence after securing an online gaming licence that will see the igaming supplier go live in Ontario.

This licence, issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commision of Ontario, will see the company’s table, slot and live casino titles offered to a host of operators within Canada’s second-largest province.

Under the terms of the agreement, Playson titles such as Buffalo Power: Hold & Win, Legend of Cleopatra Megaways and Royal Coins: Hold & Win will become available in the market imminently.

Tamas Kusztos, Chief Commercial Officer at Playson stated: “We’re thrilled to have entered the igaming market in Ontario, allowing us to meet our elevated growth plans and expand outside of Europe.

“Playson’s experience of working across a multitude of regulated markets worldwide proved pivotal in navigating our way through this lengthy application process.

“With a solid company foundation and team full of passionate individuals, we have the ability to enter newly regulated jurisdictions across the globe.”

Additionally, operators will also have access to Playson’s promotional offerings, including network tournaments and its Cash Blast tool, designed to ‘elevate the gaming experience’ and ‘improve customer acquisition and retention’.

The Ontario market, with a population of over 14.5 million, will add to Playson’s more than 20 regulated markets worldwide with established African, European and Latin American footholds.

“The licence was granted after several months of persistent efforts, so it’s a great feeling to have finally obtained this milestone licence.” Andrei Andronic, General Counsel of Playson, added.

“One which represents a significant step forward for the company, as Playson embarks on a new journey and enters the burgeoning North American market, we can’t wait to get started.”
