MGM Resorts International has secured a deal with Davante Adams, announcing the Las Vegas Raiders’ wide receiver as the company’s first current NFL athlete brand ambassador.
Under the terms of the agreement, Adams will feature in MGM’s marketing campaigns and digital content initiatives as well as participating in special events at the company’s Vegas resorts and regional properties.
“Davante is a class act both on and off the field and has built a strong fan base,” commented Lance Evans, MGM Resorts’ International Senior Vice President of Sports and Sponsorships.
“We are excited to welcome one of the NFL’s elite players to the family and look forward to his future engagements with our MGM Rewards members.”
Adams recently arrived in the city, joining after eight years with the Green Bay Packers to reunite with his former college teammate and current Raiders Quarterback Derek Carr.
The All-Pro broke the Packers’ franchise record for receiving yards in a single season and led the NFL with most touchdowns received in 2020.
“From day one, the MGM Resorts team welcomed my family and me to Las Vegas with open arms,” explained Adams.
“It’s truly an honour to be the first active NFL athlete to partner with this world-class company and to continue building a legacy in this new city I am privileged to call home.”
The casino brand’s new ambassador will soon interact with its Reward members, with the five-tier loyalty programme granting them access to MGM Resorts’ entire portfolio of properties in Las Vegas including the Bellagio, ARIA, MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay.
