Finnplay has deepened its influence over the Dutch online gaming ecosystem after Hommerson Online became the fourth company to recruit the company’s services ahead of launching in the region.

The Dutch gambling authority, Kansspelautoriteit, revealed that it has issued its 27th permit earlier in the week, although it is unknown what domain the company will adopt upon making its digital entry.

Remco van den Berg, Hommerson’s CEO, noted: “We are looking forward to bringing the Hommerson brand online with an exciting offering of casino, live casino and later sportsbook.

“We appreciate the hard work and expertise of Finnplay’s team in helping us build the site and succeed with the licence application process.”

The Nordic-based igaming platform tech and services provider noted that the latest partnership maintains the group’s “perfect track record of compliance in the market”.

Hommerson Online has become the latest group to recruit Finnplay’s services for the region, with the firm’s maiden pair of agreements coming to fruition shortly after the regulated market went live on Friday 1 October, 2021.

An entrance into the Dutch online gambling ecosystem was secured alongside the Janshen-Hahnraths Group under the Fair Play Casino moniker. The group also operates almost 40 Fair Play Casinos across the country.

Furthermore, Finnplay also powers Play North’s former Batavia Casino brand, which is now known as Kansino. In 2022, Holland Gaming Technology’s Goldrun Casino became a further addition.

“We are proud to be supporting Hommerson in their new online business,” noted Jaakko Soininen, Finnplay Managing Director.

“Hommerson has a long history in the region of providing top quality and responsible entertainment, and our team will work hard to translate that experience online.”
