Better Collective

Better Collective is set to explore how AI can influence its editorial content as it has named Pernille Holbøll as Senior Director Group AI Editorial Content & Editorial Innovation. 

An experienced operator in the Danish sports media ecosystem, Holbøll has a track record of delivering digital transformation and technological development in the news industry. 

At Better Collective, she will be tasked with leading the strategic development of AI-generated editorial content across the affiliate business’s global network of sites.

Holbøll said of her new position: “Better Collective is uniquely positioned in the intersection between tech and media. To realise the company vision to become the leading digital sports media group it is paramount to fully utilise and take advantage of the opportunities and synergies AI offers when it comes to developing and scaling editorial content globally.

NorthStar Gaming

Chin Dhushenthen has stepped in as Interim CFO of NorthStar Gaming after Jennifer Barber signalled an intention to resign from the company, effective December 1, to pursue another opportunity.

The current Vice President of Finance and Compliance has led the development of the compliance and regulatory reporting functions, as well as being “actively involved in our financial reporting process”. Barber joined the company in June 2022.

“On behalf of the board of directors, I would like to thank Jennifer for her contributions at an important time in our company’s development,” noted Michael Moskowitz, Chair and CEO of NorthStar Gaming. 

“She played a key role in our public listing process, the Slapshot Media acquisition and the establishment of our financial reporting functions. We wish Jennifer the best as she moves into a financial leadership role in a new sector.”

Dreamscape Companies

Dreamscape Companies has welcomed Joshua Strauss as President of Retail and Entertainment, where he will be charged with utilising more than 25 years experience to drive the company forward. 

Strauss will lead the company’s efforts in immersive retail experiences, traditional retail, and food and beverage within its portfolio, and continue to represent an array of tenants and landlords in their US and international endeavours. He is also set to play “an integral role” in the redevelopment of Las Vegas’ Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

Deutsche Sportwettenverband

Deutsche Sportwettenverband (DSWV) has confirmed the appointment of Luise Evers as the Spokesperson and Press Officer for the German Sports Betting Trade Association.

This will see Evers assume full responsibilities for DSWV’s press relations as well as both internal and external communication channels.

Evers holds extensive experience in corporate communications, having formerly served as a Communications Manager for the Cyber Innovation Hub of the Bundeswehr –  the German Armed Forces.

The appointment was welcomed by DSWV Chief Executive Luka Andric, who commented: “We are delighted to welcome Luise as a new face to the DSWV team. In addition to her international education, she brings diverse expertise from the fields of journalism and politics.”

La Royale Gaming Investments

Dee Maher has been appointed as La Royale Gaming Investments, where she will be tasked with supervising the expansion of the group’s portfolio via fresh opportunities that are aligned with its online and offline gaming strategies.

In the role, she will build on over 15 years of experience covering legal and compliance leadership roles at organisations such as Genesis Global, Betclic, Vera&John and Evolution.
