Super Group has appointed Elen Barber as Chief Marketing Officer.

Barber’s new position with the Betway and Spin operator is her first role since leaving fellow operator group Kindred in September of last year.

In a LinkedIn post, Barber stated: “I’m excited to share some news – I’m starting a new position as Chief Marketing Officer at Super Group (SGHC).

“I am thrilled to join this innovative team and looking forward to the exciting challenges ahead.”

In May 2023, Barber announced that she would be leaving her role as Chief Marketing Officer at Kindred in the autumn of that year.

During her 13 years at Kindred, Barber held several marketing roles, including CMO, Director of Brand Marketing, Head of Digital Advertising, Head of Affiliates and Manager of Global Affiliates.

When she announced that she would be leaving Kindred, Barber said: “I’m proud to have played my part in Kindred’s success over the past 13 years.

“Our fantastic global marketing team has built a solid foundation upon which Kindred can continue to grow in competitive and exciting markets. It’s now the right time for me to move on to fresh opportunities ahead.”

Last month, Super Group reported an all-time revenue record in 2023 of €1.4bn, with igaming remaining the largest part of its business.

However, in the US, the group is “currently assessing a range of options” and expects 2024’s adjusted EBITDA loss to not exceed 2023’s figure, which was a loss of over €57m.
