Susan Ball, who left Kambi‘s board of directors last month, is to join Playtech as a non-executive director, effective August 1, 2018.

A chartered accountant with more than 35 years’ senior finance and board-level experience, Ball is a former Unibet chief financial officer and ex-senior partner at EY. She had been part of Kambi Group’s leadership team that floated the company on the Stockholm Nasdaq in 2014.

Ball was also CFO at the AIM-listed gambling business Praesepe, from 2007 to 2009, and is currently non-executive director at Gambling.com Group, where she also sits on the Remuneration and Audit Committees.

Following her appointment to the Playtech board on August 1, Ball will become a member of the company’s Audit, Risk, Remuneration and Nominations committees.

Alan Jackson, chairman of Playtech, said in a statement: “The board is delighted to welcome Susan to Playtech.

“Susan’s appointment as an independent non-executive director represents another step forward in the evolution of Playtech’s board and the continued progress of the company.

“She brings a wealth of experience of the global gambling market with a focus on digital growth strategies which will be of particular benefit to Playtech and the continued execution of its strategic goals,” said Jackson.
