Malta-based online lottery and gaming operator Multilotto has been awarded an online gaming licence by Lotteriinspektionen, the Swedish Gaming Authority.

The licence means that Multilotto can offer lottery and online casino games in Sweden once the regulated igaming market there re-launches on January 1.

Multilotto is a leading online lottery brand in Sweden and, for the past six years, has been offering some of the world’s biggest lottery jackpots in the country, along with a collection of casino games.

The number of igaming licensees in Sweden is now around 60, and being updated all the time. A number of leading operators are preparing to launch, including 888, bet365, Betsson, LeoVegas, Mr Green and lottery betting operator Lottoland. The full current list can be viewed on the Lotteriinspektionen site here.

Multilotto’s mission is to offers players the chance to bet on a wide range of international lottery jackpots including America’s Mega Millions and Powerball draws. The company is licensed in its native Malta, as well as in the UK, Ireland and now Sweden.
