SlotRank: Spinsane makes an early entry into Sweden’s top 10

Continuing CasinoBeats‘ series of updates from SlotCatalog‘s SlotRank leaderboard, which highlights the popularity of online slots based on casino lobby position, this week, the focus is on the Swedish market and NetEnt‘s most recent blockbuster Spinsane.

Sweden only gave the go ahead to establish a regulated sports betting market at the start of this year, and similar to a lot of other regulated markets across Europe, and since opening up its doors, operator’s have been vying for a licence.

Last week saw NetEnt’s Spinsane make its debut into the top ten in Sweden, having only been released a mere eight days ago. Joined by slots such as NetEnt’s Starburst and Gonzo’s Quest, as well as Big Time Gaming’s Bonanza, Spinsane is one of the newest slots to cement its place in SlotCatalog’s rankings.

The positions in the SlotRank leaderboard are calculated on a daily basis by scanning the lobby positions of hundreds of online slot titles across hundreds of online casinos in a wide range of markets.

The table above shows that NetEnt continues to hold pole position on the leaderboard, with its 2012 release Starburst yet to be toppled from the No. 1 position. But with the likes of Spinsane and Big Time Gaming’s Opal Fruits being some of the newest slots on the market, it will be interesting to see how they fair in the coming weeks.

NetEnt’s Spinsane has entered high in the UK market also, having come in at No. 7 on the SlotRank listings. It is a feature of the SlotRank leaderboard, however, just how many older games remain firm fixtures in casino lobbies across the UK. This can be demonstrated by the graph below which shows recent lobby positions for each of the top five slots.

Narcos made a steady rise early on, and still continues to hold its No. 4 position in the UK, however has not been listed within the top 10 in Sweden.
