Boston, Massachusetts, headquartered DraftKings has debuted its casino product suite in West Virginia, after first reaching an agreement to commence operations within the state in December 2018.
Launching in association with Penn National Gaming’s Hollywood Casino at Charlestown Races, the Mountain State initially became the second US territory that DraftKings offered an online sportsbook, and the fifth state to offer legal sports betting countrywide.
The addition of DraftKings’ casino products includes the firm’s standalone mobile application, in addition to access to the DraftKings Casino via the DraftKings Sportsbook, and features virtual, branded table games including popular slot machine games as well as blackjack, roulette, three card poker and keno.
Maintaining a commitment to the safety and well-being of its customers, the National Council on Problem Gambling platinum member adds West Virginia to New Jersey and Pennsylvania as states where DraftKings Casino is available for customers to access.
West Virginians can now access the variety of games both through the DraftKings Casino app directly or also via the sportsbook app where casino platform will remain embedded.
DraftKings added the Keystone State to its casino operations earlier this week, leveraging its in-house technology for development in an attempt to create a more holistic product suite and dynamic gaming experience.
Jason March, DraftKings’ vice president of gaming, previously hinted at a nationwide agenda when addressing moves in New Jersey: “We are thrilled to break new ground for DraftKings in the gaming space today with the launch of our DraftKings Casino app, the company’s first perennial product that operates year-round irrespective of the annual sports schedules.
“Following our debut in the Garden State, we look forward to continued innovation, nationwide expansion where regulations allow, and to further positioning DraftKings as an all-inclusive gaming and entertainment experience.”
