As the state’s fiscal year came to a close, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board published a record figure for yearly tax revenue - standing at over $2.3bn for 2022/2023.

DraftKings has followed up on a previous pledge to roll-out its standalone mobile casino app across a variety of US states, with Pennsylvania following in the footsteps of last month’s New Jersey launch.

Similarly to the Garden State, DraftKings Casino was previously available to punters across the Keystone state through embedment in the DraftKings Sportsbook app made earlier in the year.

The company has leveraged its in-house technology to develop the DraftKings Casino app in an attempt to create a more holistic product suite and dynamic gaming experience. The app will feature new games only found on DraftKings, plus revamped classics, including blackjack and roulette.

In addition to popular slot and table games found only on DraftKings Casino, the new app will also offer games from third-party providers like International Game Technology, Slingo, Scientific Games and more.

Furthermore, customers in Pennsylvania will soon have access to the custom DraftKings live dealer studio which will operate 24/7, with the Boston, Massachusetts headquartered firm again asserting that it is preparing to unveil its casino product in additional states where regulations allow.

Jason March, DraftKings’ vice president of gaming, previously hinted at a nationwide agenda when addressing moves in New Jersey: “We are thrilled to break new ground for DraftKings in the gaming space today with the launch of our DraftKings Casino app, the company’s first perennial product that operates year-round irrespective of the annual sports schedules.

“Following our debut in the Garden State, we look forward to continued innovation, nationwide expansion where regulations allow, and to further positioning DraftKings as an all-inclusive gaming and entertainment experience.”
