USFL aligns with AGA’s Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly campaign

The United States Football League has struck an alliance with the American Gaming Association and the group’s ‘Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly’ campaign to promote responsible sports wagering.

This will see the independent football league, whose inaugural season gets underway on April 16, promote responsible sports wagering through its broadcast, cable, streaming and social media outlets.

“We’re proud to partner with the AGA to help drive the important message to bet responsibly,” Edward Hartman, USFL Executive Vice President of Business Operations, commented.

“As sports wagering expands nationwide, the USFL is committed to help educate our fans so they can better enjoy the experience.”

The AGA launched Have A Game Plan in late 2019 to promotes four principles of responsible sports wagering, those being set a budget and stick to it; keep it social; know the odds; and play with trusted, regulated operators.

The campaign has broad support from across the sports betting landscape, including sports leagues and teams, media companies, gaming operators and suppliers and others.

Sports betting is now legal in 33 states and the District of Columbia. Today, 31 jurisdictions are operational, offering more than 130 million American adults the protections of legal wagering in their home market.

“Responsible gaming leadership from professional sports leagues like the USFL is critical to getting sports betting right,” noted Casey Clark, AGA Senior Vice President.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the USFL as a partner and value their commitment to prioritising responsible sports wagering education for their fans.”
