With comings and goings commonplace across the industry, Boom Entertainment, Game Play Network, and the Super Group, all feature in our latest rundown of a number of recent manoeuvres.

Super Group

Super Group has swelled its number of independent board members to nine, after confirming the appointments of Natara Holloway and Jonathan Jossel.

Holloway joins the parent company of online sports betting and gaming brand Betway multi-brand online casino Spin following the successful SPAC deal with Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp

She has previously served in various roles for the National Football League across nearly two decades, and was most recently Vice President of Business Operations and Strategy for Football Operations.

Jossel is currently Chief Executive Officer of Plaza Hotel & Casino, and boasts almost a decade of gaming industry experience.

Boom Entertainment

Boom Entertainment has bolstered its c-level leadership team after confirming the appointment of Zack Messer as Chief Financial Officer. 

Formerly of Scientific Games, Pinnacle Entertainment and IGT, he will be charged with elevating the financial performance of the firm as it looks to exploit fresh opportunities in the US’ online gambling and daily fantasy sports markets.

“The growth opportunities at Boom are unprecedented and it’s the right time to bring in a seasoned financial strategist,” noted Stephen Murphy, Co-Founder and CEO of Boom Entertainment.  

“Zack fits the CFO role perfectly, having spent 14 years in gaming and holding a variety of strategic finance roles at IGT, Pinnacle Entertainment and most recently Scientific Games as its head of finance for gaming operations. 

“He has also been involved in various M&A deals, ranging from tuck-ins to multi-billion dollar acquisitions, and that experience will be invaluable as well.”

Vita Media Group

Danish igaming affiliate Vita Media Group has confirmed the appointment of Michael Asselta as its General Manager of Affilisearch. 

In the position, Asselta will be charged with responsibility for the company’s US operations, which will include the introduction Ekstrapoint and the Affilisearch Network to the market.

“Having the US as our special market of interest changed our long-term strategy,” noted Jimmi Meilstrup, CEO of Vita Media Group.

“Therefore, we are very excited to welcome Michael to develop our market approach and lead our expansion in the US. Primarily, we are more than happy to see our Ekstrapoint.com get introduced in the United States as the first loyalty and reward platform in igaming. 

“In the long run, we are looking forward to the introduction of our entire gaming portfolio to the US market.”

Game Play Network

Ian Smith has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer and Games Play Network, as the Los Angeles-based real money gaming platform aims to reach its “next ambitious stage”.

In this role, Smith will be charged with driving product expansion, technological innovation and platform scalability to support GPN’s integration of its patented technology within its B2B customer network.

He joins GPN having held positions at a variety of industry organisations, including Rank Interactive, Flutter Entertainment and William Hill, where he served as CTO, Director of Technology Strategy and Global Director, respectively.
