Scout Gaming, Mohegan, Hard Rock & Softswiss: on the move

With comings and goings commonplace across the industry, Hard Rock Atlantic City, Softswiss, Scout Gaming and Mohegan, all feature in our latest rundown of a number of recent manoeuvres.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Atlantic City

Anthony Faranca has been named the General Manager of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Atlantic City.

Faranca began his casino career in Atlantic City as a Guest Services Manager and was promoted to Regional Vice President of National Casino Marketing at the four Caesars Atlantic City properties.

He returned to the east coast in 2019 and joined the Cordish Companies as Vice President and General Manager of live casino in Hanover, MD. In this role Faranca navigated the COVID-19 pandemic, launched a FanDuel Sportsbook, and opened a 5,000-seat event centre.

“I am thrilled to welcome Anthony to Hard Rock Atlantic City,” said Joe Lupo, Hard Rock Atlantic City’s Property President. “His depth of knowledge coupled with his experience in the casino industry will be an asset to our team and our incredible casino resort.

“Anthony’s comprehensive understanding of this market will be instrumental to Hard Rock’s continued success as an industry leader in this region.”

Scout Gaming

After six years as Scout Gaming’s CEO, Andreas Ternström has stepped down from the role but will remain as a shareholder.

Commenting on his departure, Ternström said: “I would like to thank all partners, coworkers, board and owners for this time. I would like to give a special thanks to all talented and courageous employees in Ukraine who are valiantly working despite the war and two years of pandemic.

“I will remain as a shareholder and will be close to the company. I hope that I also in the future can be of use for the company and its development.”

Scout Gaming has moved swiftly in temporarily replacing Ternström via the appointment of CFO, Niklas Jönsson as the acting CEO during the time of the recruitment.

Scout Gaming Group’s newly appointed Chairman of the Board, Niklas Braathen, added: “I want on behalf of the company to give a big appreciation to Andreas who has put in a very great commitment to creating Scout Gaming’s organisation and not least the product that Scout Gaming today possesses.

“Headwinds have been blowing for a while for the company, and a major reorganisation and transformation of how the company’s operations are conducted is now ahead of us, we have therefore agreed that it is appropriate for Andreas to leave the company.

“He will be available to the company in any matters, which is important, and provides security for the company’s board, management and organisation.”
