Maryland’s Bingo World is to officially debut retail sports betting today (Monday 1 August) in partnership with Rush Street Interactive.

A ribbon cutting event is to take place to usher in the start of the sports wagering era at midday local time, which will enable those aged 21 and over to place an array of bets.

“We are so excited and honoured to be the first operator outside of a casino to offer Maryland residents a retail sportsbook,” said Randy Clemens, President of Bingo World.  

“Together with our partners at RSI, we can offer bettors a world-class in-person sports betting experience at the BetRivers sportsbook and lounge.”

To celebrate, Clemens will join former Baltimore Ravens and Super Bowl champion Qadry ‘the Missile’ Ismail, BetRivers Director of B2B Services Adam Glass, Maryland State Senator Pamela Beidle, Maryland House of Delegates Member Nicholaus Kipke, Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman and long time Bingo World customer Myra Harris to officially open the new sportsbook. Ismail will place the first bet at the location.

The 3,000 square foot BetRivers sportsbook at Bingo World offers a variety of entertainment and wagering options, and features a lounge area with 32 theatre-style seats, bar, 21 hi-def video screens and streaming BetRivers odds boards.
