Soft2Bet has further grown its footprint in Europe after obtaining a Romanian licence from local regulator Oficiul National pentru Jocuri de Noroc.

With the ONJN licence, Soft2Bet is now permitted to supply casino and sportsbook offerings in the country, which the B2B igaming firm has described as an exciting opportunity.

Commenting on the deal, Soft2Bet’s General Counsel David Yatom, who has led the company’s legal, regulatory and compliance teams since March, said the Romanian licence is a key moment for the operator’s expansion across Europe.

“We consider the Romanian market as one of the pivotal markets for establishing our foothold in Eastern Europe,” Yatom noted.

“Acquiring a local Romanian operating license marks an important step in our strategic expansion, building upon Soft2Bet’s success in other European markets. Stay tuned for more exciting developments in the near future.”

The licence in Romania is just one part of Soft2Bet’s European expansion, as the operator has recently obtained an operating licence in Greece and a B2B licence in Sweden.

Elsewhere across the continent, Soft2Bet also has licences in the countries of Denmark, Ireland and Malta, and the operator has plans to add more countries to that list.
