OKTO has expanded its presence within igaming and betting through a new collaboration with Betsson for the integration of its eVoucher cash payment solution.

The deal looks to focus on providing an improved user experience – enabling players in Greece to top-up their accounts with cash in real-time, leveraging a vast network of over 13,000 points of sale across the country.

Andreas Nikolopoulos, Head of Marketing Greece at Betsson Group, commented: “OKTO delivers tailored payment methods that meet the unique needs of each market. The e-cash payment solution presented by OKTO promises Betsson customers in Greece a convenient and user-friendly top-up experience.

“Trust and integrity stand at the forefront of the relationship with OKTO. For Greece, the collaboration with OKTO originated from a shared commitment to providing an ideal solution for users who prefer offline transactions with cash while enjoying online experiences. By enabling users to instantly top up their online accounts in a fast, easy, and secure manner, Betsson enhances the overall customer experience.”

The focus on the payment journey continues to take on increased importance for gaming operators as they look to maximise customer engagement and retention at a time when global markets are becoming increasingly competitive.

In response, OKTO’s Commercial Director, Galina Bineva, added on the deal: “We are thrilled with our partnership with Betsson Group and fully aligned with our partner, having a commitment to a local and personalised approach.

“For us here at OKTO, it’s essential to highlight the importance of understanding customers’ payment preferences and providing payment methods tailored not only to regional needs but also to different audiences within the same region.”

CasinoBeats breakdown: This deal is indicative of a future outlook for the igaming space where the payment journey and providing a versatile offering will continue to take centre stage. The collaboration is well-positioned to bolster the user experience in Greece and expand the reach of the operator to a wider range of players.
