Flutter Entertainment has unveiled the Flutter Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to meeting the company’s goal of improving 10 million lives by 2030.

Aligning with the operator’s Do More and Positive Impact Plan sustainability campaigns, the Flutter Foundation has established a base in Ceuta, Spain, where it will hope to support social action and generate positive change.

Dan Taylor, CEO of Flutter International, commented: “We are excited to see the start of the Flutter Foundation in Ceuta, and we aim today for this initiative to make a significant difference in communities, starting with Ceuta.”

As Flutter’s first foundation anywhere in the world, the organisation will focus on the community in Ceuta and has formalised two agreements to benefit the area.

These agreements have seen the organisation partner with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Youth to support disadvantaged families and promote gender equality in scientific careers, allocating €80,000 in scholarships for studies in STEM subjects.

“Ceuta is proud to be the headquarters of this important initiative and to have a company like Flutter as an ally,” explained Juan Jesús Vivas Lara, President of the Autonomous City of Ceuta.

“The Flutter Foundation will be an acumen engine of positive change for many people. We are committed to supporting its mission and collaborating closely in its work for the social, economic, educational and technological development of the city.”

Moreover, the Foundation will also collaborate with the Government of Ceuta to establish a cooperation framework and develop initiatives that hope to improve inclusion and quality of life in the city.

Cristina Pérez Valero, Delegate of the Government of Spain in Ceuta, added: “The Flutter Foundation is presented as an opportunity to strengthen social cohesion and provide support to those who need it more. Their work will be very valuable to improve the quality of life in our community.”

Although the Foundation has kicked off with a specific focus on Ceuta and its surrounding areas, Flutter has affirmed that the organisation will be “progressively expanding its geographical reach”.

“We are very serious about launching the world’s first Flutter foundation,” added Elisa Miguel Fonseca, President of the Flutter Foundation.

“Our mission is clear: to work in close collaboration with the communities most in need to promote positive and lasting change in Ceuta society and, in a second phase, in all of Spanish society.”
