What was the ‘eureka moment’ that led to the creation of VeliPlay?

Our team has been deeply immersed in the igaming world for a long time, successfully integrating numerous providers and gaining an intimate understanding of the mechanics, challenges, and nuances that drive the industry. This extensive background gave us a unique perspective on what works and what doesn’t in game development.

It all began when a couple of passionate enthusiasts, led by our CTO, decided to take on a challenge—creating our own game. This was initially a side project, something they worked on during free hours after the regular workday. Armed with a shared passion for gaming and the insights they’d gathered over the years, they embarked on this journey without fully knowing where it would lead. The results surpassed all expectations, and that side project eventually became the cornerstone of what is now VeliPlay. It was a testament to what can be achieved when industry experience meets creativity and determination.

How did your experience at VeliTech influence the development of VeliPlay?

Our company, VeliTech, has been a key player in the igaming industry for many years. Over this time, we’ve gained a deep understanding of how games are integrated with casinos and the various challenges that game providers face. With this extensive background, we were eager to create something new and achieve results quickly. Our experience allowed us to navigate the process with confidence, knowing the ins and outs of the industry, and that’s exactly what happened—we were able to develop and deliver a game swiftly and effectively.

This project also allowed us to test the theory that we could produce games rapidly without sacrificing quality. We set out to prove this, and when we saw the positive results, we knew we had to continue on this path. Moreover, we observed that many games on the market had visual elements that seemed outdated, reminiscent of designs from 15 years ago. We wanted to break away from that and create something modern, with high-quality animation and sound design. 

This desire to innovate is what led us to focus on instant games rather than traditional slots. Our goal was to craft visually stunning, vibrant, and engaging animations that would captivate players and elevate their gaming experience.

What were your biggest challenges when developing your first game, TroubleJet?

Developing our first game, TroubleJet, was an engaging but challenging experience. One of the main difficulties we faced was choosing the front-end tools for the animations, especially since we didn’t have prior experience in game animation. However, we were able to overcome these challenges, which ultimately allowed us to create a game that truly impressed.

This game initially served as a test project, and not many specialists were involved in its development. Once we completed the MVP (minimum viable product) and decided to continue in that direction, we dedicated significant time to forming an engaged team motivated to create great games.

Eventually, we hired a tech artist who is now responsible for creating impressive animations. Despite all the challenges, this experience proved incredibly valuable. We gained insights that became the foundation for our future projects, and the successful launch of TroubleJet was a testament to our team’s perseverance and dedication.

Why did you choose to focus on this particular type of game instead of following a more traditional approach?

We chose to focus on this type of game rather than going the classic route because the market is already saturated with a vast number of slot games that cater to a broad audience. However, there remains a segment of users who are interested in different types of experiences. Instant games are not as widely available as slots, and there is significant room for growth in this area. 

We see the potential in fulfilling the needs of these users who have been overlooked.

In crash games, for example, players have the opportunity to influence their winnings by deciding when to cash out and at what amount, unlike in slots where outcomes are determined by random combinations. Additionally, instant games allow us to create not just visually appealing graphics but also engaging storylines. This direction offers us the opportunity to innovate and provide users with a richer, more interactive gaming experience, which is something we believe is increasingly valuable in today’s market.

How did you approach securing partnerships with major clients like PLAYONGO, BlueChip, W88 and BindasBet?

Securing partnerships with major clients is a strategic priority for VeliPlay, and our approach is rooted in building strong, mutually beneficial relationships. Since VeliTech has been working in the igaming industry for many years, we already had a solid network with our partners, which greatly facilitated our efforts.

Our first major partner was PLAYONGO par Paridirect. After launching our first game, we were pleased to see it perform well. Following this success, our partner decided to place the game in more favourable positions, which significantly boosted visibility and led to even better results.

Thus, our first clients for VeliPlay were those from VeliTech. The positive experiences and strong partnerships established with them helped attract new major clients. By emphasising the unique value of our games—focusing on innovative mechanics, high-quality animations, and engaging narratives—we demonstrate how our offerings can enhance our partners’ portfolios and increase player engagement.

While we appreciate this milestone, our goals extend much further. We are focused on continuously improving our game content, expanding our portfolio, and entering new markets. This milestone simply reinforces that we are on the right track and inspires us to move forward toward new achievements.

Has there been a moment where you thought VeliPlay might not succeed? What kept you going?

VeliPlay has always been grounded in a strong vision for success. During the development of the first game, the team had a clear understanding of the next steps and knew which game would follow. It was recognised that the establishment of the VeliPlay product wouldn’t end with a single game, regardless of its success or challenges; it was seen as just one stage in the journey.

The team understands how to achieve success in various areas and has proven this multiple times. Leveraging accumulated experience and learning from past mistakes has been key. The goals set for VeliPlay are well-founded, and there is a clear roadmap to reach them.

Can you give us a sneak peek into what’s next for VeliPlay, perhaps some details about the upcoming Plinko game?

We are excited to continue expanding our game portfolio by introducing both crash games and new mechanics. In the near future, we plan to release a Plinko game that will differentiate itself from others on the market. Our version will feature captivating animations and an engaging storyline, enhancing the overall gaming experience.

We do this for our players, as we want them to enjoy not only the thrill of winning but also the gameplay itself. Our goal is to create experiences that encourage players to return again and again. Additionally, we will be focusing on expanding the functionality of our games and developing innovative bonus policies.
