The PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Series Playoffs begin with this week’s St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis.
The top 70 golfers have advanced to compete in the first playoff event. Only the top 50 will advance to next week’s BMW Championship.
Justin Rose is the tournament’s defending champion.

Sam Burns (+2150)
Sam Burns has done everything but win this season. He is far overdue for a victory. Now he returns to a course that suits him after a fifth-place result in 2024 and runner-up effort in 2021.

Tom Kim (+5500)
Tom Kim recently won the Genesis Scottish Open to snap a three-year winless skein.
Kim was in the mix at the Wyndham Championship yesterday, but a double bogey on the back nine knocked him out of contention for the win. He still finished T-5.
Kim’s playing some of his best golf at the most important time of the year. At these odds, he’s worth a small toss to find himself back in the winner’s circle.
Best Bet on Longshot to Win St. Jude Championship
Aaron Rai (+7600)
Aaron Rai shocked the golfing world by winning the PGA Championship at +29000 odds. It was one of the biggest upsets of the season, and the biggest in a major during golf’s modern era.
Rai later turned in an impressive 11th-place finish at the US Open. He’s turned in finishes of 12th (2019) and 16th (2024) after six starts in this event.
Rai boasts solid rankings inside the top 25 for SG: Approach and Greens in Regulation. The Englishman really shines off the tee, ranking third on tour in driving accuracy. All of those metrics portend success at TPC Southwind.
