The Indiana Hoosiers (17-9 SU, 13-13 ATS) meet the Purdue Boilermakers (21-5 SU, 12-14 ATS) tonight in Big Ten college basketball action at Mackey Arena. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. ET on FOX.

DraftKings is dealing Purdue as an 11.5-point home favorite with a total of 150.5 as of publication. 63% of spread handle and 59% of tickets are on the Boilermakers. Don’t blindly bet the favorite here because Indiana defeated Purdue 72-67 in their first meeting last month.

Best Bet Indiana vs. Purdue: Against the Spread

Indiana +11.5 (-110 at DraftKings)

Fun fact: Purdue is 0-6 ATS in its last six games at Mackey. The Boilermakers are coming off a 91-80 loss to No. 1 Michigan as a 2.5-point home underdog.

Indiana guard Lamar Wilkerson has been a catalyst for his team’s recent success. He leads the Hoosiers with 21.5 points per game. Wilkerson has scored 20+ ppg in his last five, including a 41-point outburst in a rout over Oregon. Forward Tucker DeVries is also a key cog for Indiana, as he leads the team with 5.3 rebounds per game and scores 13.8 ppg.

Purdue’s Braden Smith is one of the nation’s best point guards. He averages 14.9 ppg and 8.8 assists per contest, which ranks second nationally behind Michigan State’s Jeremy Fears Jr. (9.3). Smith also converts 41.1% of his 3-point attempts.

The Boilermakers also benefit from a solid frontcourt, with Trey Kaufman-Renn (13 ppg, 9.1 rpg) and center Oscar Cluff (10.2 ppg, 7.2 rpg) making life difficult for opponents in the paint on both sides of the floor. Keep an eye on Fletcher Loyer from behind the arc, too. He’s made multiple 3-pointers in six straight games.

We’re not expecting an outright win by Indiana tonight, but this is too many points to lay given Purdue’s recent struggles at home.

Pick: Indiana +11.5

Best Player Prop for Indiana Hoosiers

Tucker DeVries OVER 12.5 Points (+100 at FanDuel)

Purdue will focus most of its attention on shutting Wilkerson down tonight. DeVries will benefit as a result. He’s cleared this total in three straight games:

  • 13 vs. Illinois
  • 15 vs. Orgeon
  • 16 vs. Wisconsin

During that span, DeVries killed it from long range, making a combined eight 3-pointers on 20 attempts.

Best Player Prop for Purdue Boilermakers

Trey Kaufman-Renn OVER 27.5 Points & Rebounds (-104 at FanDuel)

Kaufman-Renn has substantially increased his productivity as we head into the most critical part of the season. He’s coming off a 27-point, 12-rebound performance against No. 1 Michigan, which owns one of the best defenses in the country. That marked his second-straight double-double performance.

Now, he gets an undersized Indiana defense that’s exploitable. Kaufman-Renn poured in 23 points in the first meeting against Indiana, but only hauled down three rebounds. But his rebounding has been so prolific of late — 12, 12, and 19 (!) in his last three games, respectively — you’ve got to love these odds.
