PokerStars is marking the anniversaries of two of its biggest and most popular online poker tournaments, the Sunday Million and Sunday Storm, by offering a guaranteed combined $11m in prizes on Sunday, February 4.
Played by more than 1.2 million players since it launched, the Sunday Storm celebrates its 7th birthday at 1pm ET (US) with a $1m guarantee, while the Sunday Million marks its 12th anniversary an hour later with a guaranteed prize pool of $10m, including $1m for first place.
Players can buy in directly ($11 for the Sunday Storm, $215 for the Sunday Million) or play their way to a seat for less via a range of satellites competitions and promotions.
The first ever Sunday Million featured 5,893 players competing for a total prize pool of $1,178,600. Last year’s $10m-guaranteed Sunday Million 11th anniversary tournament was won by Xavi666 from Panama, who led a field of 55,835 entrants to scoop $1,093,204.63.
