Commercial reorganisation to drive further growth for Endemol Shine

The Endemol Shine Group has announced a reorganisation of its commercial management divisions, aimed at bringing its gaming, brand licensing and digital specialities together under one new structure.

The firm, whose portfolio contains titles based on its popular The Million Pound Drop, The Money Drop and Big Brother formats, will see Yannick Ferrero and Jane Smith receive promotions with a view to growing their respective areas.

Ferrero, former senior director of digital monetisation, has been appointed group director of commercial operations, and is to oversee commercial revenues across Endemol’s gaming and brand licensing divisions, with a target of “bringing gaming and gambling, brand licensing and digital specialities closer together”.

Smith, ex-director of brand licensing and strategy, is to occupy a broader group director of brand licensing and gaming role, and is to be charged with driving the groups commercial performances across these areas.

Uniting complementary skills and experience, it is hoped that these moves within the gaming and gambling divisions “will maximise the commercial potential of these areas, delivering greater cohesion across the broader Endemol Shine commercial business”.

Both Ferrero and Smith are to work with Mark Woollard, Endemol Shine Gaming commercial director, who is to continue to drive growth and support the divisions within the group, including the games studio and newly launched games platform Playzido

Wim Ponnet, chief commercial and strategy officer at Endemol, stated: “Yannick and Jane have done an exceptional job growing our digital and brand licensing operations.

“Endemol Shine Gaming is in great shape, with exciting growth opportunities, and Yannick and Jane are perfectly placed to build on this success and maximise the commercial potential of our IP.”

Endemol, whose operation also incorporates third party projects including Austin Powers and Dumb and Dumber, has also detailed that Owain Walbyoff, MD of Endemol Shine Gaming, it to depart after nine years to head up the London office of a neurotechnology start up.
