Perhaps unsurprisingly, in February – ICE month – the most viewed article on CasinoBeats.com featured perennial ExCeL head-turners Microgaming, who once again wowed visitors to their stand with a series of events, including DJ sets and flash-mob dance routines.

In the article, entitled Leading from the front, Microgaming CEO John Coleman gave readers a sneaky preview of the Isle of Man-based supplier’s preparations for the London showpiece. He called ICE a “unique opportunity for our industry to gather, share our wealth of knowledge, and plot a course for the year ahead.” You can read the original piece here.

With ICE 2019 now consigned to history, CasinoBeats checked back in with Coleman for his reflections on Microgaming’s appearance at the biggest event of the year.

“We always pride ourselves on putting on a good show at ICE

Now that ICE has wrapped up, how did the show go for Microgaming?

JC: “We always pride ourselves on putting on a good show at ICE, and I feel the team exceeded expectations again this year, delivering a truly vibrant and invigorating reveal of our upcoming content.

“Giving prominence to six of the independent studios behind that content really emphasised the diversity and innovation at the heart of our branded and premium games portfolio.”

Any particular highlights?

“A series of entertaining performances drew the crowds as we unveiled a range of highly
anticipated new titles, and it was particularly exciting to see these show-stopping spectacles nudge attendees towards the studio counters for a detailed look under the hood of these brilliant new games, which include Lara Croft Temples and Tombs, Village People Macho Moves, the striking Banana Odyssey and eagerly awaited Agent Jane Blonde Returns.

“We also celebrated some remarkable milestones, including the 15th anniversary of our
brand partnership with Square Enix, our progressive jackpot network exceeding total payouts of €1bn, and Microgaming reaching 25 years of innovation and evolution.

“My personal thanks must go to all of those that made our presence at ICE so entertaining and successful.”
