THE PULSE OF THE CASINO INDUSTRY

Talking innovation with LVBet’s Ewa Kazmierska

As momentum begins to build towards CasinoBeats Malta, which takes place on March 25/26, CasinoBeats caught up with Ewa Kazmierska, chief operations officer at LVBet, who is based on the island.

Kazmierska, who joined LVBet in May following two years as COO at Twin, joined a panel at the inaugural CasinoBeats Malta event in June of this year. Following the conference, Kazmierska spoke to CasinoBeats on the rooftop at the venue, The Palace Hotel in Sliema.

Speaking on innovation, on a panel that also included speakers from operators LeoVegas and Metal Casino, Kazmierska reflected on lessons learned, the role of the operator and the sometimes tricky balance between innovation and compliance.

Commenting on the panel discussion and the takeaways, Kazmierska said: “We shouldn’t look at innovation just for the sake of it but must take into account regulation and compliance.

“Not everything we think of as ‘innovative’ is going to sell well

“We must also look at the players needs – that what we think works does actually work.”

“It is important to look at innovation through data analysis, using the data available to us as operators as well as suppliers,” she continued. “We must be looking at the heatmaps and at pixels, so that we track the customer behaviour.

“Not everything we may think of as ‘innovative’ and as a great tool for our customers is necessarily going to sell well.”
