Game Account Network has been selected by casino developer and operator Wynn Resorts to be the enterprise software platform for the firm’s impending launch in Michigan.
The ten-year partnership will see the launch of igaming and online sports betting alongside the first regulated online gambling operators in November 2020, subject to all regulatory approvals.
An impending Michigan launch between GAN and Wynn will be a part of the market access agreement inked by the former with the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians on March 27, 2020.
The tribe operates five casinos under the Kewadin Casinos brand in the Wolverine state, with locations in Sault Sainte Marie, St Ignace, Manistique, Christmas, and Hessel.
Jeffrey Berman, chief commercial officer of GAN, explained: “We look forward to powering the Wynn brand in Michigan with our highly optimized technology platform and enabling Wynn to efficiently invest their marketing capital to attract loyal sports betting and igaming players.
“We are pleased to onboard Wynn, with its national casino brand and substantial Michigan-region patron base, as a major operator client and are excited at the opportunity presented by potential roll-outs in multiple additional states in the future.”
As a result of the collaboration, the Las Vegas-based firm says that it is aiming to become well-positioned as an early mover in the state of Michigan following its commencement of online gaming activities.
Furthermore, as a national casino brand operating venues in both Las Vegas and Boston Massachusetts, it is said that Wynn has a “substantial database” of patrons that reside within the jurisdiction to cross-market to internet gambling.
