Slots and casino have helped provide an entertainment uplift for players in the last twelve months, and according to Lenin Castillo – chief operating officer at Logrand Entertainment – has helped drive the company’s growth within the Mexican market.
Kicking off the second edition of the CasinoBeats Slots Festival, Castillo touched upon the growth of slots in the Latin American market before highlighting how Logrand Entertainment is leading the way.
Speaking to Kelly Kehn, SBC’s global relationships director, Castillo explained that Logrand’s Strendus Casino has quickly become one of the leading platforms in the Mexican market.
He said: “We’re really satisfied with the response that we have had so far from the players that have chosen Strendus as their form of entertainment gaming option. Our gambling platform has positioned itself as the safest and most reliable in the country – that’s something we’re really happy with.
“We emerged in 2018 as one of the brands of Logrand Entertainment Group – a company which was born in 2005 – and we’re currently the most dynamic gaming company in the market. We have approximately 4,000 games grouped under categories such as slots, casino, sportsbook, bingo and virtuals.”
When quizzed on what role slots play in the overall growth of Strendus, Castillo made reference to the impacts of the global pandemic on the betting sector, sharing that slots and casino have helped keep players entertained.
He continued: “It’s really really important. Since we see the platform as a form of entertainment, not necessarily just betting and gaming, slots and casino are really relevant – they represent around 50 per cent of our business. The pandemic influenced that.
“Once sports betting came to a halt, the casino and slots side of the business grew. We have a lot of customers who are from the land-based side, so we offer a lot of products as an extension of their experience. Slots and casino are therefore really relevant.
“Now that sports betting is making a return, one of the challenges is maintaining that growth we’ve seen in the last 12 months. Hopefully we can keep doing that.”
