PokerStars has solidified its presence throughout Greece as it gains a full licence from the Hellenic Gaming Commission for a range of its brands.

Following the licence approval, Flutter Entertainment subsidiaries, such as PokerStars, PokerStars Sports and PokerStars Casino, will be available to players in Greece.

“Launching PokerStars under a full local licence in Greece follows months of hard work from teams across the business,” explained Dan Taylor, CEO of Flutter International. “I’d like to thank them all for helping to make PokerStars’ range of safe and trusted products available to players in Greece and for contributing towards our ongoing strategy of growing our business in international regulated markets.”

The launch follows receipt of a local licence in July last year and means a range of PokerStars’ real and play money poker games and tournaments, casino titles, sports betting markets, and promotions is now available to players in Greece at PokerStars.gr, and on desktop, tablet and mobile for iOS and Android.

The launch into Greece follows on from PokerStars’ “exclusive partnership” with Red Bull Racing earlier this month that saw the online gambling brand feature on the RB18 and race suits ahead of the 2022 Formula One season.

Both companies stated that the deal was aimed at F1s growing audience as increasing technological advancements help the service and provide fans with new and unique ways to enjoy the sport.

The alignment will come to life across PokerStars’ full offering of PokerStars Casino, PokerStars and PokerStars Sports products.
