Guests of Yaamava’ Resort & Casino have been among the first to access a “revolutionised mechanical reel slot category” that has been debuted by International Game Technology.

The DiamondRS cabinet is praised as representing “a pivotal point” for the company that is said to have leveraged “extensive market research” in a bid to provide “a next-generation gaming experience on a traditional cabinet style”.

The $760m former San Manuel Casino, which held a grand reopening towards the latter stages of 2021, features a casino floor that is complete with more than 7,000 slots, as well as a 17-floor hotel tower with 432 guest rooms.

“Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel is honoured to be one of the first casinos worldwide to offer IGT’s DiamondRS cabinet,” noted Kenji Hall, Yaamava’ Resort & Casino Chief Operating Officer.

“Our focus on providing the latest and most innovative product has been a pillar of our success. IGT continues to be a leader in this field, and this partnership allows us to provide a best-in-class experience for our valued customers.”

The DiamondRS cabinet, which features a three-reel configuration and IGT Diamond Glass transmissive reel technology, hosts multiple payline configurations and game content.

Furthermore, the offering, which boasts a 32-inch ultra-high-definition LCD top box display and 23-inch high-definition main monitor, offers a content library that contains games such as Double Top Dollar, Pinball Double Gold, Red Hot Tamales! Pinata Bash, and more.

“The launch of the DiamondRS cabinet continues IGT’s decades-long reign in the mechanical reel segment with classic DNA enhanced by the industry-first innovation of Diamond Glass technology,” said Nick Khin, IGT Chief Operating Officer, Gaming.

“This groundbreaking evolution reflects IGT’s ingenuity and commitment to delivering premier gaming products that meet player preferences and provide dynamic performance.”

Earlier this month, IGT completed the €160m acquisition of iSoftBet, paid for in cash, which will see the company more than double its content library.

Increasing its IGT PlayDigital catalogue to approximately 225 proprietary games, the firm entered into a definitive agreement in April this year to purchase the Malta-based games developer and online casino solutions provider.
