IGT expands Washington presence via Nisqually Red Wind Casino deal

Washington

International Game Technology has struck a multi-year agreement with Nisqually Red Wind Casino to broaden its standing in Washington.

As part of the partnership, IGT will expand its sports betting product by implementing its PlaySports platform, via the integration of wagering kiosks at the Nisqually Red Wind Casino in Olympia, as well as partner with the company’s trading advisory team.

Joe Asher, IGT President of Sports Betting, explained: “In adding a sportsbook to its already impressive casino, Nisqually Red Wind Casino can leverage sports betting as a powerful player acquisition tool and a driver of extended property visitation.

“IGT PlaySports has significant experience powering sportsbooks at tribal casinos throughout the US and we look forward to helping Nisqually Red Wind Casino create a must-visit destination for sports fans in Olympia and the surrounding areas.”

Nisqually Red Wind Casino will become the eighth casino in Washington State to deliver IGT PlaySports technology.

“Nisqually Red Wind Casino is excited to offer our guests additional gaming entertainment and elevated fan engagement by introducing an IGT PlaySports-powered sportsbook,” said Conrad Granito, Nisqually Red Wind Casino, General Manager.

“Given IGT PlaySports’ leadership across Washington State and the turnkey nature of their solution, we are confident that we’ve found the ideal sports betting growth partner.”

IGT’s latest partnership comes just over a month after the firm completed its €160m acquisition of iSoftBet, paid for in cash, which saw the company more than double its content library.

Increasing its IGT PlayDigital catalogue to approximately 225 proprietary games, the firm entered into a definitive agreement in April this year to purchase the Malta-based games developer and online casino solutions provider.
