Having recently been appointed Chief Executive Officer at Swintt, we sat down with David Mann to discuss the experience he’ll be bringing into the new role, the challenges that lie ahead and what the industry-leading software provider has in store for us during the rest of H2 and beyond.

CasinoBeats: Congratulations on your appointment as CEO of Swintt! What’s first on the order of business now that you’ve started your new role?

David Mann: Thanks! Luckily for both me and Swintt, I don’t need any time to get acquainted with the company since I’ve been here for the whole journey to date, so I can continue with our ongoing projects and strategy. Of course I’ll be making sure our fantastic team continues to deliver and grow the business while keeping an eye on running us in the most optimised and sustainable way possible.

CB: How will your prior experience as CCO influence your leadership style – does that previous knowledge of the company give you a different perspective on growth areas and strategy?

DN: Being involved across the multiple projects that we’re currently working on definitely helps me hit the ground running – and having also had an excellent role model in David Flynn as CEO, I can see how he has led us to this point and continue his work. This has been an important year for us and we’ve identified some areas that need to be strengthened. Using these developments as a springboard, I’m confident that we can propel the business into many new markets going forward.

Of course, coming from a commercial background, I still have my eyes across the numbers, the data and the performance of our content with our operator partners. I’ve grown and led the commercial function to become a positive, self-starting cohort which has extended across the business as a whole, and in my new role as CEO, I’ll continue to drive this culture as we expand.

CB: What are the key challenges you envisage in terms of working across the entire company?

DN: Taking on board the ultimate responsibility of all departments means I will be asking a lot of (sometimes basic!) questions to the technical and product departments, but they’re already used to me getting stuck in and taking up their time to expand my current knowledge. Luckily for me, as well as being an incredibly bright and talented team, they also have plenty of patience as well!

As with any company growing in the market, managing a sustainable and smart recruitment process to ensure that we only bring in the right personnel is difficult, but I think any potential candidate should be pretty excited to join Swintt at the moment. We’ve shown that we’re ambitious, eager and have a core of really dedicated people who love to work hard and play hard!

CB: Finally, what can we expect from Swintt going into H2 and beyond? Are there any new prospective markets, titles or celebrity collaborations that you can tell us a bit more about?

DN: H2 is already packed for us and keeps getting more exhilarating. We’re entering the UK in Q4 and are also seeing our first launches in Romania and Lithuania. We have some major clients ready to launch that will showcase our games among some of the best operators in the market.

On top of that, the first games from our SwinttStudios partners will go live and we’ll also have new titles available on our SwinttLive vertical. As far as collaborations go, we’ll be launching more games featuring Vinnie Jones, including a football-themed release in time for the 2022 World Cup.

Of course, the best way to learn more about everything we’re working on at Swintt is to come and talk to us in person, so feel free to stop by and meet up with our team at SBC Barcelona, iGaming NEXT Malta and SiGMA Malta this year to find out about our wider plans and markets for 2023.
