Gaming Innovation Group has finalised the deal with Casino Time for the provision of its platform, sportsbook and omnichannel solution within Ontario.

The conclusion of the deal, which saw a head of terms agreement confirmed on November 30, marks the fifth operator to be powered by GiG in the province and is expected to see the brand go live in the second half of 2023.

“A growing presence in Ontario continues to reflect well on the strength of our products and technology in the region,” explained Marcel Elfersy, Chief Commercial Officer of GiG.

“Combined with our commitment to expansion in complex regulated markets globally, we’re demonstrating that we are well positioned to power the needs and aspirations of land-based operators looking to enter the online space.”

Canadian owned and operated, Casino Time is a joint venture amongst retail operators in Ontario’s charitable gaming sector, and is focused on utilising the best available technology in each key functional area, including player account management, trading and risk management, and automated marketing.

Casino Time also lauded GiG’s growing reputation and experience as a provider of technology that has proved “perfectly placed” to complement the land-based gaming brands’ strategic online ambitions, extending from an initial footprint of 10 Ontario locations.

D’Arcy Stuart, Founder and CEO of Casino Time, added: “We are proud to extend our partnership with Ontario’s charities in igaming.

“Casino Time will deliver the personalised service and community experience that our retail customers in Ontario have come to expect, while expanding the product offering into exciting new territory, including bingo, slots, sportsbook and live dealer casino games.”
