Gila River Resorts & Casinos has announced that the operator’s newest location, Santan Mountain Casino in Arizona, will have a grand opening across two days on June 30 and July 1.
The new $180m location will have 33,000 square feet of gaming floor, including 813 slot machines, 25 table games and a BetMGM Sportsbook, which will be the largest casino sportsbook in the Grand Canyon state.
Santan Mountain Casino will also feature floor-to-ceiling windows, outdoor gardens, event space and new food concepts, including Mein Dish, Upper Deck Deli and the Honey & Vine, which will have an outdoor patio, coffee bar, all-day food service and a live DJ on special occasions.
Revenue from the new Gila River resort will directly fund infrastructure, education and public safety for the Gila River Indian Community, with additional income distributed throughout the state for the Arizona Tribal State Gaming Compact to support local cities, towns and counties.

The two-day grand opening event at Santan Mountain Casino will feature Las Vegas-style showgirls, fire breathers, stilt walkers, live DJs, drone shows and special performances by country music star Gabby Barrett.
On July 2, the first 150 guests to visit the Magic Lamp slot machines can place three max bets for free and keep any earnings. Guests will also receive a commemorative t-shirt.
Santan Mountain Casino took 20 months to complete and was designed and built by Steelman Partners, PENTA Building Group and Tynan Group, creating more than 700 jobs.
