MGM Resorts International has shown its support for LGBTQ+ entrepreneurship businesses with a donation of $25,000 to the Nevada Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.

The donation was given to the GLCCNV during a special ceremony at a Pride Month event held at MGM Grand’s Level Up.

“MGM Resorts is honoured to support the Nevada Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce in their mission of uplifting the LGBTQ+ community through entrepreneurship and opportunity,” commented Jyoti Chopra, Chief People, Inclusion & Sustainability Officer at MGM Resorts.

“Everyone deserves an equal opportunity to flourish, and we take immense pride in being part of a community that celebrates diversity and embraces inclusion.”

Alongside the donation to the GLCCNV is MGM Resorts’ Supplier Diversity Program, which is part of the company’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and its support for diverse-owned businesses that promote an environment of acceptance and opportunity.

The operator’s support for the LGBTQ+ community also includes same-sex health benefits for employees since 2004, same-sex ceremonies at its chapels, free resources for LGBTQ+ employees to assist in finding quality healthcare and being a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ human rights.

MGM Resorts has also been recognised by the Human Rights Campaign for being one of the US’ “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality,” earning a perfect score for the past 11 years on the Corporate Equality Index.
