Videoslots has highlighted its ambition to uphold the “highest level of security” as it received ISO 27001 certification for data protection against cybersecurity threats.

The online casino operator received the certificate following a ‘rigorous’ assessment of its current security measures and the development of its Information Security Management System.

David Alamango, CTO at Videoslots, said: “By attaining the ISO 27001 certification, we are keeping our data at the highest level of security, reinforcing trust in our brand, and bolstering our competitive advantage.

“It also places us in an elite group of organisations that have made the security of sensitive information a top priority. Furthermore, ISO 27001 provides a solid foundation for us to innovate and expand our technological capabilities, as we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible.”

The certification recognises that Videoslots, along with its closely associated brands, have successfully met all international standards for its ISMS, proving the company’s effectiveness in identifying, managing and mitigating information security risks.

Videoslots recently received a stark warning from Sweden’s regulator, Spelinspektionen, alongside a penalty fee of SEK 9m (€750k) following an investigation into AML failures from the brand, which Videoslots stated was flawed.
