Indonesian police have arrested another young female Instagram influencer on charges of promoting online gambling portals on her social media pages.
The Indonesian media outlet Radar Lamongan reported that police in the Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU) Regency have charged the 22-year-old woman – known online as Nab – with a range of criminal offenses.
Officers say Nab has confessed, admitting to taking money in exchange for posting videos that included clickable links to an online gambling site.
At least one video also reportedly featured screenshots of online casino games. Nab is the operator of the @nabellaabelbell_ Instagram account, where she has around 25,400 followers.
In her bio, Nab invites advertisers to send her a direct message if they want her to endorse a product or service.
The Criminal Research Unit of the North Hulu Sungai Police Force said that Nab admitted to receiving promotional materials from an individual calling herself “Queen Fanta Slot” via WhatsApp.

Indonesian Instagram Star Paid to Promote Gambling Site
Officers said they raided Nab’s home, where they confiscated her iPhone 11 and “several items of clothing” she had allegedly “used to create promotional content.”
They also seized control of her Instagram account, as well as an e-wallet account under the name of Nab.
DANA is a popular Indonesian e-payment platform. Police think Queen Fanta Slot may have used the app to send Nab cash payments in exchange for promoting online casino sites.
Police have charged her with violating a law, amended in 2024, that covers gambling-related e-payments.
Officers said the posts in question have been removed, but were originally uploaded in September this year.
Heavy Jail Sentences for Instagram Influencers
Earlier this month, the Denpasar District Court sentenced another young female Instagram influencer to one and a half years in prison.
The court found 19-year-old Vienna Varella Angeli Parinussa guilty of taking payments from an intermediary in exchange for posting links to online gambling sites on her social media pages.
Media outlets and Indonesian netizens raged when, after her sentencing hearing, Vienna raised her middle finger to photographers and reporters gathered outside the courtroom.

The media outlet Detik Bali called her behavior “reprehensible.” Commenters on X said her actions were “disgusting.”
A panel of judges also ordered her to pay an IDR 30 million ($1,812) fine. Prosecutors had asked the panel to issue Vienna a 2.5-year jail term.
In August, a 21-year-old Instagram star nicknamed Nia, from the Buleleng Regency, was jailed for 10 months for posting videos featuring online casino promotional materials.
A court in the regency ordered her to hand over payments worth IDR 1 million ($60) to the state. The court also fined Nia a further IDR 5 million ($302).
The court said it had been lenient because Nia is the primary carer of her two-year-old child. Before her arrest, Nia operated an Instagram account with 116,000 followers.
