Best Bets on Player Props for Bruins vs. Sabres

Jeremy Swayman OVER 26.5 Saves (-125)

The Bruins failed to show up in the first period on Sunday, giving up four goals in the process. Goaltender Jeremy Swayman, who wasn’t responsible, was ultimately pulled in the third period after making 23 saves. That was particularly distressing if you had the Sabres +1.5 on the puckline and Swayman to record OVER 25.5 saves.

Swayman has been playing superbly throughout this series, but the Bruins have largely wasted those efforts. Swayman expressed his displeasure to teammates after getting yanked early in Game 4. That could provide a spark for the Bruins tonight.

Buffalo’s offense is explosive, and the shot volume should help Swayman eclipse this number of saves tonight. The Sabres have peppered Swayman with 130 shots in the series, averaging 32.5 shots per game.

Bowen Byram OVER 0.5 Points (+130)

Buffalo defenseman Bowen Byram carries a three-game point streak into tonight’s tilt. Byram, who has three goals and two assists in this series, trails only Alex Tuch (6) for the team lead in points.

Additionally, he’s scored in the past three games and notched a pair of points in the last two. This plus-money price offers incredible value on Byram to record a point in his fourth straight game.

David Pastrnak OVER 0.5 Goals (+190)

If the Bruins want to have any chance of keeping their season alive, David Pastrnak has to be a contributor. “Pasta” is Boston’s most dangerous weapon on offense, and he owns the team high in playoff points with five.

While he’s only found the back of the net once so far, and in Game 1, that helps create a due factor that we can’t ignore at this price. Notably, Pastrnak scored a goal against the Sabres in three of four games during the regular season.

Owen Power OVER 0.5 Assists (+215)

How’s this for consistency? Owen Power has recorded an assist in each of the four games in this series. He leads the Sabres in that category during the postseason.

Power’s playmaking picked up at the end of the regular season. He recorded three assists in his last two games. Thus, he’s riding a six-game assist streak heading into Game 5 tonight.
