Kalshi’s NBA Title Odds on 76ers Tighten After LeBron James Signs With Philadelphia

LeBron James is headed to Philadelphia after signing a two-year deal with the 76ers, and the team surged up the 2027 NBA Champion odds board at Kalshi.

The 76ers are trading at +733 (12% implied probability) as of publication after starting the day at +1567 (6%). Upon the news of LeBron’s new deal around midday today, the odds were slashed by more than half.

The 76ers are now the third betting favorite at Kalshi, trailing only the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs.

Miami’s PR Gaffe Made Heat a Heavy Favorite Earlier

On Wednesday, a member of the Miami Heat‘s social media team accidentally posted a “LeBron James Introductory Press Conference” link on YouTube with a July 27 date.

Miami soared to the top of the market with odds of +104, or a 49% implied probability. The Heat’s odds have plummeted to +3233 (3%) as of publication. Miami also had a big offseason signing, adding former Milwaukee star Giannis Antetokounmpo to the fold.

James won the first two of his four NBA titles with the Heat before adding one with the Cavaliers and another with the Lakers. The 76ers have bona fide stars in Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid.

The Knicks swept the 76ers in the Eastern Conference semifinals en route to winning the 2026 NBA title. Philadelphia hasn’t won an NBA Championship since 1983, during the glory days of Julius “Dr. J” Erving and Moses Malone.
