Whether you’re a diehard MLB fan or just enamored by playoff baseball, the Blue Jays and Dodgers have provided primetime drama through the first four games of the World Series.
Toronto’s 6-2 win yesterday deadlocked the series, 2-2. Here we examine Game 5 odds with a prediction and best bets for Blue Jays vs. Dodgers. FOX has live coverage starting at 8 p.m. ET.
Best Bet for Blue Jays vs. Dodgers: Against the Spread
Dodgers -1.5 on Run Line (-102 at DraftKings)
Former Cy Young winner Blake Snell gets the start for Los Angeles after getting shelled and taking the loss in Game 1. Snell gave up five runs, eight hits, and three walks in five innings. Toronto won the opener, 11-4.
That performance was an aberration, as Snell won his first three games in the playoffs in dominant fashion. Over that span, he struck out 28 batters and allowed just two runs on six hits. Bank on the lefty bouncing back tonight.
Rookie Trey Yesavage returns to the mound for the Blue Jays tonight after allowing two runs on four hits in Game 1. Yesavage, 22, started the 2025 season with the Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays.
We think things revert back to form for Snell tonight, with the rookie enduring a difficult start against Shohei Ohtani and mates.
Best Player Prop Bet for Dodgers
Mookie Betts 2+ Total Bases From Hits (+115 at FanDuel)
The due factor is at work here, as Betts has yet to cash this prop in the World Series. He’s had just three singles, but one of those came against Yesavage in Game 1.
Additionally, Betts thrives against pitchers who predominantly throw fastballs. Nearly half of the Toronto rookie pitcher’s offerings have been fastballs this season. Betts is due for a breakout game, and we’re going back to the well once again after he cost us last night.
- Ernie Clement MORE 0.5 Hits $
- Vladimir Guerrero Jr. MORE 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBI $
- Mookie Betts MORE 1.5 Bases From Hits X
Best Player Prop Bet for Blue Jays
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 2+ Total Bases From Hits (+110 at FanDuel)
Guerrero came up clutch for us last night with this game-changing two-run HR against Ohtani.
Guererro leads Toronto with a .419 batting average during the playoffs, with 26 hits in 62 at-bats. He also leads the club with seven homers in the postseason. This is our favorite prop play tonight.
